First Kiss: Cheap Date Tour with special guests Foreigner and Packway Handle Band
Due to overwhelming demand, Kid Rock is adding two more shows to his historic run of shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. The shows will take place on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, with tickets going on sale this Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. These shows shatter previous ticket sale records for the state of Michigan, previously held by Garth Brooks (approximately 107,000 tickets, with Kid Rock expected to sell over 145,000) and the record held by his good friend Bob Seger, for most shows played in a row at the venue.
Kid Rock’s First Kiss : Cheap Date tour will take place over 41 shows, starting June 23rd in Hartford, CT and wrapping up September 5 in Auburn, WA, just outside of Seattle and will feature very special guests Foreigner on all dates. Tickets for the show are $20 from the front to the back, with capped charges on service fees ensuring that tickets will stay under $30 including parking in most every market.
Kid Rock broke all the rules when he last set out on tour, and now he’s back to break them all again. The “$20 Best Night Ever” tour set all sorts of attendance records, proving that the combination of top notch entertainment and affordable tickets are a win/win for everyone. Now with the eminent release of his new album First Kiss, (his first on Top Dog/Warner Bros. Records) Kid Rock, along with his trusted Twisted Brown Trucker Band, is bringing a full summer tour with very special guests Foreigner and Packway Handle Band, including 10 special nights at DTE Energy Music Theatre on August 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 22 with shows beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets are available at Livenation.com, Palacenet.com, The Palace Ticket Store and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets may be also charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000.

Tickets for this tour, which is again being promoted by Live Nation, will be handled as they were for the last run, with every effort made to keep fees down and scalpers at bay. Tickets from the 2nd row to the United Shore Lawn will be $20, with reduced parking and service fees keeping the total ticket price at about $30 or under. $20 all-in tickets (including parking) will be offered from participating Walmarts and at the venue box offices, and everyone who purchases a ticket at Walmart will receive a coupon for $2 off their purchase of First Kiss. 1000 tickets from each show will be put on sale via LiveNation.com’s Platinum ticketing program to combat scalping. The first row of seats for every show will be held back and given as free upgrades for lucky fans, and $20 special food packages will be available during the shows. And of course, since they were so popular last time around, there will be $4 draught beers and special $20 tour t-shirts available throughout the amphitheaters.
Kid Rock performed a massive show before the start of the Daytona 500 (2/22) where “First Kiss” debuted live for the first time. Following that, he appeared on the Tonight Show (2/23), the Today Show (2/24), Howard Stern (2/25), and in a first for Kid Rock, he experimented with this new technology called “Twitter” on Feb. 19 to answer fans’ questions.
Kid Rock's First Kiss: Cheap Date Tour presented by Chevrolet with special guests Foreigner and Packway Handle Band at DTE Energy Music Theatre is part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
