Take It Outside Tour with special guests Justin Moore and Colt Ford
Brantley Gilbert brings his Take It Outside Tour with special guests Justin Moore and Colt Ford to DTE Energy Music Theatre on Saturday, September 24 at 7 p.m.
Tickets are available for purchase at Livenation.com, Palacenet.com, The Palace Ticket Store and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets may be also charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000.
The Jefferson, Georgian's Take It Outside amphitheater tour kicks off June 2 at Mansfield, MA’s XFinity Center, and the 22-date and counting throwdown will run into October.
“We’re just getting started bringing the music to the people,” says the one of only four back-to-back platinum country album sellers. “We hit that stage in Saginaw, and the crowd was lit up. Makes you wanna hit the road, and stay out there – when the people are so raging. We knew when we did this arena tour, we were gonna wanna take it outside! We don’t have all the dates in place, but I want the fans in these markets to know I’m coming,”
Joining Gilbert for his Take It Outside Tour are label-mate Justin Moore and “Dirt Road Anthem” co-writer Colt Ford. Given that all three have toured with each other over the years, it should make for a night of hardcore outsider country – from Gilbert’s harder rock to Moore’s serious beer joint country and Ford’s rap-forward style.
“We’ve all done so many things together,” Gilbert explains with a laugh. “This is one of those tours that’ll be crazy before it even rolls. Justin likes to really push the limits, and he’s a pretty serious performer... and Colt is one of those guys who gets how to hit a crowd right between the eyes. If you love your country on the rougher side, this is gonna be a show for you.”
Gilbert’s unrelenting brand of country has notched six #1s “Country Must Be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” “Bottoms Up” and “Hell of An Amen,” as well as his two Aldean smashes. More full-tilt, more aggressive, yet supremely grounded in the red clay he was raised in, The New York Times wrote of Just As I Am, “What elegance Mr. Gilbert manages in this demolition derby. Mr. Gilbert comes on like a revving monster-truck engine, backed by heavy rock guitar, but there’s a slyness to his singing. Beneath his boxy exterior, there’s an active intelligence about melody and texture…In a country era where hardness isn’t valorized in the least, he’s unapologetically rough, singing with the tenderness of a chain saw. And on this strong album - his third in a row - he betrays no shame about his creatine-fueled version of country music.”
Gilbert, who takes writing the songs of his life as seriously he does the fans who feel like they live inside those songs, lives to bring the music to the people. With two nights at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks, the Bay area’s Shoreline Amphitheater and a kick-off at Boston’s Xfinity Center, the man who won the 2015 American Music Awards’ Favorite Country Album for Just As I Am is matching the BlackOut arena tour with an equally comprehensive collection of outdoors dates.
Brantley Gilbert's Take It Outside Tour with special guests Justin Moore and Colt Ford at DTE Energy Music Theatre is part of the Belle Tire Concert Series.
