Classic rocker Eddie Money makes his annual start-of-the-season appearance to help kick off DTE Energy Music Theatre’s 2015 summer concert season on Friday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. Dez Money & The Faze and Tripper will open the show.
Tickets at $34.50 in the pavilion and $10 on the United Shore Lawn go on sale this Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. at Palacenet.com, The Palace Ticket Store and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets may be also charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000.
Eddie Money rose to success in 1977 with his self-titled double platinum debut album which featured the hits “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets To Paradise.” Other classic rock hits from Money include “Shakin’,” “Think I’m In Love,” “No Control,” “Gimmie Some Water,” “I Wanna Go Back,” “Walk on Water” and his duet with Ronnie Spector, “Take Me Home Tonight.”
In addition to maintaining a busy touring schedule, Money has appeared on television shows, The King of Queens, where he performed for his good friend Kevin James, and The Drew Carey Show, where he played Mimi’s ex-husband. He has also written a musical based on his life entitled Two Tickets To Paradise, The Musical, which traces his time as a police officer to his rise to stardom.
The Brooklyn, New York native has partnered with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), a non-profit organization that provides support to United States military personnel and their families, since May 2011.
