Masters of the Mic featuring DMX, Rakim, Naughty By Nature, EPMD, Slick Rick and Black Sheep will perform at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Sunday, August 31 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets at $39.50, $25 and $20 in the pavilion, $15 on the lawn and $44 lawn four-packs go on sale this Saturday, August 2 at 10 a.m. at Palacenet.com, The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre Ticket Stores and all Ticketmaster locations. The summer trek was inspired by the success of the first Masters of Ceremony concert at New York’s Radio City Music Hall back on January 24. The sold-out show featured several of the summer tour’s headliners, including DMX, Naughty By Nature, EPMD, Slick Rick and Brand Nubian.

“The Radio City Music Hall concert was an incredible hip-hop reunion that took you back to the true essence of hip-hop,” said Parrish Smith of the duo EPMD.

Fans will be able to enjoy classic hip-hop songs such as “Party Up (Up in Here),” “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” “I Ain't No Joke,” “Paid In Full,” “O.P.P,” “Hip Hop Hooray,” “You Gots to Chill,” “Crossover,” “Children's Story,” “Teenage Love,” “The Choice Is Yours” and “Flavor Of The Month.”
