College Basketball in the D returns as the Oakland Golden Grizzlies will take on the Michigan State Spartans in a regular season men’s basketball game at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday, December 17 at 7 p.m.
This will mark the fourth matchup between the two in-state foes at Little Caesars Arena, with previous meetings taking place in 2017, 2019 and 2021. MSU and OU have met 22 times dating back to 1998, with the last taking place at the Breslin Center in East Lansing on December 18, 2023. Head Coaches Greg Kampe and Tom Izzo have been there for them all, as they enter their 41st and 30th years in charge of their programs respectively.
The Golden Grizzlies last played at Little Caesars Arena on October 20 in “Hoops For Harvest” charity exhibition against the Michigan Wolverines, while the Spartans defeated the Baylor Bears 88-64 on December 16, 2023.
