Three-time Grammy® Award-winners and multi-platinum artists Pentatonix bring their summer tour with Us The Duo to Meadow Brook Amphitheatre on Wednesday, August 9 at 8 p.m.
Tickets at $125, $89.50, $65 and $49.50 in the pavilion and $25 on the lawn go on sale this Friday, May 5 at 10 a.m. at Livenation.com, The Palace Ticket Store and all Ticketmaster locations. Pentatonix recently released the music video for their arrangement of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love” (click here to watch). The track is featured on the quintet’s recently released PTX Vol. IV – Classics which debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 Chart and #2 on the Top Album Sales and Digital Albums Charts. The album marks the group’s seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album also features arrangements of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and the Grammy Award-winning performance of “Jolene” featuring Dolly Parton.
Last month, the group received their first Daytime Emmy® Award nomination for Outstanding On-Camera Musical Performance (“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”) In A Daytime Program (Rachael Ray). On April 16th, the group performed “Too Much Heaven” to over 10.2 million viewers on Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Bee Gees and are confirmed to perform their certified gold cover “Hallelujah” on Disney’s Fairytale Weddings (premiering on Freeform May 7th at 8 p.m. EDT).
In just five years, Pentatonix has sold more than six million albums in the U.S. alone. They have won three Grammy Awards, received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, starred in their first network Christmas Special and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold-out shows across the globe. Their YouTube channel boasts over 13 million subscribers, yielding over 2.4 billion video views, and their 2015 self-titled album has been certified gold after debuting #1 on the Billboard 200.
In October 2016, Pentatonix released their third holiday album – A Pentatonix Christmas – which has been certified platinum, spending two consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 Chart. The album includes the group’s arrangement of the Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah,” which reached #2 on the iTunes singles chart and has since been certified gold. In 2015, the group released its first tour documentary – On My Way Home – and appeared in the feature film Pitch Perfect 2.
