Belle Tire presents “Operation ROCK!” with legendary rock band Whitesnake with Geoff Tate Of Queensryche at DTE Energy Music Theatre on July 24 at 7:30 p.m. Presented locally by Palace Sports & Entertainment, and Kroger, the bands will honor active military personnel and veterans with free lawn tickets to the show.
To take advantage of the “Operation ROCK!” offer to receive up to four free lawn tickets, active military personnel or veterans can present their military ID or proof of military service at The Palace or DTE Energy Music Theatre Box Offices while supplies last.
“Kroger is happy to support ’Operation ROCK!’ at DTE Energy Music Theatre. It is a small way to say we appreciate our military and are very proud of their dedication to our country, our state, our towns and our families,” said Dale Hollandsworth, spokesman for Kroger’s Great Lakes Division. “We hope that every military family enjoys the shows and the time spent with their families and loved ones.”
Tickets at $75, $45 and $35 in the pavilion, $15 on the lawn and $44 lawn four-packs are on sale now at Palacenet.com, The Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre Ticket Stores and all Ticketmaster locations, including The Locker Room Store at Great Lakes Crossing. Tickets may be also charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 800.745.3000.
Formed in 1977, and steered by the legendary David Coverdale, Whitesnake’s ascent to the heights of rock n’ roll was sealed with 1987’s self-titled mega-platinum album, which saw two massive Top 10 hits, two #1 singles with “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love” and a virtual 24-hour domination of MTV around the world. Coverdale was recently named one of Revolver’s “100 Greatest Living Rock Stars” and the UK’s Kerrang voted Coverdale the “Last Great Rock Star.”
The band’s latest release, MADE IN JAPAN is available in a deluxe 2CD/DVD edition, Blu-ray and a standalone DVD. The performance footage, during their “Forevermore World Tour,” was at the “Loud Park” festival in October 2011 at Saitama Super Arena in Japan. MADE IN JAPAN contains songs from Whitesnake’s most recent studio album, FOREVERMORE, as well as classic hits such as “Is This Love,” “Still Of The Night” and “Here I Go Again.”
