Everyone is encouraged to familiarize themselves with updated safety protocols such as mobile entry, no-bag policy (exceptions include wallets 5” x 7” x1.5”, medical and diaper bags), enhanced sanitization and disinfection measures and touchless transactions. KULTURECITY CERTIFICATION
DTE Energy Music Theatre, Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre and Meadow Brook Amphitheatre have joined Little Caesars Arena, the FOX Theatre and Comerica Park to partner with KultureCity, making all events hosted at all six venues sensory inclusive. This initiative will promote an accommodating and positive experience for all guests with sensory needs. Comerica Park and Little Caesars Arena earned their KultureCity certification in July 2018, followed by The FOX Theatre in February 2019.
The certification process entails the event staff are trained by leading medical professionals on how to recognize guests with sensory needs and how to best handle a sensory overload situation. Sensory bags, equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads will be available to all guests who may feel overwhelmed by the environment. Guests will also have access to sensory areas for those who may need a quieter and more secure environment.
Sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation are often experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD and other similar conditions. One of the major barriers for these individuals is sensitivity to over stimulation and noise. With its new certification, DTE Energy Music Theatre, Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre and Meadow Brook Amphitheatre are now better prepared to assist guests with sensory sensitivities in having the most comfortable and accommodating experience possible when attending any event at the venues.

IN MEMORIAM: DEREK BOCZKOWSKI (JUNE 3, 1971 - MARCH 5, 2021)
LONG-TIME EVENT PRODUCTION MANAGER WITH 313 PRESENTS
313 Presents lost a dear colleague and friend in Derek Boczkowski on March 5, 2021. Derek started with Pistons Sports & Entertainment in 1996, and was most recently Event Production Manager for 313 Presents. He was deeply loved and well-respected by his co-workers and peers in the entertainment industry. In his role, Derek prepared for a show well in advance, was the first one on site to meet the tour, and the last one to leave making sure the last remaining tour bus or truck got off safely to their next destination. Connections run deep in the entertainment industry and Derek turned those into life-long friendships. He touched the lives of many and his hugs, laughs and impact on the business will be sorely missed.
