*CONSTRUCTION & TRAFFIC ADVISORY* SUMMER CONCERTS AT MEADOW BROOK AMPHITHEATRE
(DETROIT – May 31, 2018) – Due to major road construction on Walton Boulevard near the main entrance of Meadow Brook Amphitheatre on the campus of Oakland University, guests attending shows this summer, including tomorrow’s sold-out Khalid concert, are advised to plan for additional time to get to and from the venue.
Guests traveling from the east are strongly encouraged to utilize Meadow Brook Amphitheatre’s East entrance on Adams Road, located a quarter mile south of Walton Boulevard. There will be increased traffic on all local roads so guests are encouraged to take their time and arrive early.
The Walton Boulevard construction will involve replacing three culverts and resurfacing the road between Squirrel and Adams roads in Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills. Repairs will maintain two-way traffic but require inside (left) lane closures in both directions. The project is scheduled to run until late fall, though the resurfacing could take place in spring of 2019.
