Ticketed events in The District Detroit this weekend:

Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park (Friday-Sunday); Peppa Pig Live! at Fox Theatre (Friday); Detroit Pistons vs. Milwaukee Bucks at Little Caesars Arena (Friday); The Takeover 2 at Fox Theatre (Saturday); Mix 92.3 Presents Maxwell’s “Night 2022 Tour” at Little Caesars Arena (Sunday).

(DETROIT – April 8, 2022) – Due to construction on I-75 and I-94 in metro Detroit scheduled to resume on Friday, April 8, guests are encouraged to arrive early and purchase parking in advance in what will be a busy weekend of sports and entertainment in The District Detroit.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has advised that beginning on Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m., I-75 between I-696 and the I-75 Business Loop (Square Lake Road) will be closed in both directions to set bridge beams on the overpasses at Gardenia and Lincoln avenues. The freeway is expected to reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. on Monday, April 11.

Additionally, MDOT has advised that starting on Friday at 9 p.m., I-94 between I-75 and I-96 will be closed in both directions while the demolition and removal of the Grand River overpass above I-94 is completed. The freeway is expected to reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. on Monday.

In anticipation of increased traffic due to the closure and concurrent events throughout The District Detroit, guests are encouraged to arrive early and secure advanced parking online at ParkDistrictDetroit.com.
