Hometown Music Icons
There's no place like home, even if you don't live there anymore. Pine Knob has hosted scores of performances by metro Detroit music icons, from rock heroes to Motown favorites and royalty in the form of the Queen of Soul. Kid Rock made myriad guest appearances with other acts at "Pine Bob" and set a record during the summer of 2015 with a 10-night stand that drew more than 145,000 fans. Mitch Ryder reunited the Detroit Wheels for a 1984 show, while the Stooges' August 2003 reunion tour date was famously postponed for 11 days by a massive North American power failure.
