Live At Pine Knob
Love from Pine Knob audiences inspired a few acts to record live albums and film concert videos during stops there. Among those releases were the J. Geils Band's Showtime! (1982), Steve Miller Band Live! (1983), Peter Frampton's Live in Detroit (2000), part of Kid Rock's Live Trucker (2006), Barenaked Ladies' Talk to the Hand: Live in Michigan (2007) and Def Leppard's And There Will Be a Next Time... Live From Detroit (2017). Pine Knob performances were also featured on live albums by Green Day, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, Steely Dan, Roxy Music and the Dave Matthews Band. The cover of Joni Mitchell's Miles of Aisles (1974) was shot at Pine Knob, and Jackson Browne included a backstage image in his classic Running On Empty (1977).
